ART HEALS:
Honoring Survivors & Supporting Healing

Suncoast Center, in partnership with our community allies, was honored to present ART HEALS — a public art exhibit featuring artwork created by survivors of sexual violence. Art can be a meaningful way for survivors of all ages to express emotions, experiences, strength, and healing through color, texture, symbols, and storytelling.

With a Grand Opening during April's Second Saturday Art Walk in the Warehouse Arts District, the ART HEALS Gallery invited deeper engagement through artist-written stories displayed beside each creation — connecting guests to the meaning, motivation, and healing behind the art. Select artworks offered optional audio storytelling, allowing guests to engage more deeply with survivor voices through QR-enabled listening experiences.

ART HEALS honors survivor voices and raises awareness during Sexual Assault Awareness and Child Abuse Awareness Month and was on display during April, 2026 at the ArtsXchange Tully-Levine Gallery in St. Petersburg.
