How Suncoast Center Can Help Sexual Assault Survivors

​Sexual assault can leave deep lasting effects on a person’s mental, emotional, and physical health. If sexual assault has affected you or a loved one, whether it occured recently or in the past - seek support. Coping with effects of sexual assault and trauma aren’t always easy to deal with, but with the right help and support, there is a path for healing.

 

Suncoast Center is Pinellas County's Sexual Assault Services Center, certified through the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence. Our team of specially trained forensic nurses, advocates, and trauma therapists work to treat those who need help processing, coping and navigating through their recovery process. We provide forensic evidence collection, mental health and trauma therapy services, support and peer groups, and advocacy to sexual assault survivors.

A sexual assault survivor has the right to a sexual assault victim examination (SAVE) and advocacy without reporting to law enforcement. Services are free and confidential, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
